The women's basketball team makes its second appearance on the New York University Top-50 Highlight List of 2019-20 with its largest-ever win and first season-sweep of Washington University in St. Louis since the 2003-04 season coming in at #18.
NYU secured the first win in St. Louis, 81-77, on January 26. The team's second victory came in the final home game of the 2019-20 season when the Violets defeated the Bears, 95-42, on February 23, on Senior Day at the Sportsplex in Manhattan.
It was the largest margin of victory the Violets had ever recorded against the Bears.
Janean Cuffee (New York, NY/The Lawrenceville School) scored a game-high 20 points for NYU, while
Annie Barrett (Cambridge, MA/Buckingham Browne & Nichols) just missed a triple-double with 10 points, 10 assists and eight rebounds.
The women's basketball team first appeared on the Top-50 List at #28 with its victory over Brandeis University (its season-high seventh-straight victory) in the University Athletic Association (UAA) opener for both teams on January 17.
