Overview
The NYU athletic communications office serves as the public relations wing of the Athletics Department and works to promote NYU's student-athletes, coaches and Athletics community. The staff is the liaison between the Violets' 23 sports and local, state and national media outlets while working to tell the NYU story through written, digital and multimedia content.

Four full-time professionals make up the staff, along with several student employees. The Office is responsible for maintaining GoNYUAthletics.com, running the official Athletics social media accounts, maintaining all brand assets and visual identity, live statistics and broadcasts of home contests, written and digital coverage of all varsity competitions, archival information of the department and coordinating with media members, among other duties.
  • All interview requests with NYU student-athletes and coaches must be arranged through a member of the communications office and, per NCAA guidelines, be given at least 24 hours notice.
  • Only approved and credentialed photographers or videographers are permitted to shoot at NYU varsity athletic events. Contact a member of the athletic communications office (listed below) with at least 48 hours notice for credential requests.
