The women's golf team's second-place finish at the Tartan Invitational ranks #33 on New York University's countdown of the Top-50 varsity sports highlights of the 2019-20 season.

Held on October 8 at the Laurel Valley Golf Course in Ligonier, PA (the previous day's round was washed out), NYU posted a combined score of 317 and trailed only host Carnegie Melon University (313) over the 18 holes.

Despite the team's runner-up status, the Violets did produce the individual winner as junior Ashley Lung's (Henderson, NV/Coronado) one-over-par 73 led the 58-person field.

Senior Arisa Kimura (Bethesda, MD/Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart) also produced a top-10 finish by taking seventh place.
