Barber Leads Team USA at Nike Hoops Summit

WBB Head Coach's Second Stint Leading National Team

Head Coach Meg Barber of the NYU women's basketball team is back in action to coach Team USA at the 2026 Nike Hoops Summit. She previously coached Team USA in 2024, leading the U17 team to a gold medal at the FIBA Women's World Cup.

Barber was named the 2024 USA Basketball 5-on-5 Junior Coach of the Year for her efforts.

The U.S. is undefeated in the competition's short history, with focus set on winning for the fourth year in a row. Team USA, featuring elite high school seniors, will battle the World Team which features top U19 talent from around the world.

Barber is familiar with defending undefeated records, having led the Violets to the second-longest win streak across all levels of college basketball at 91. She coached the Violets to back-to-back NCAA Division III National Championships in 2023-24 and 2024-25, as well as five consecutive University Athletic Association (UAA) Championships.

The Team USA women will face Team World on Saturday, April 11, at 7:30 p.m., with the game streamed live on Peacock.
