The men's soccer team reappears at #27 on the New York University Top-50 Varsity Highlight List of the 2019-20 season with its shutout win over Washington University in St. Louis on October 18.
The squad originally made the list at #35 with its victory over Hood College in the ECAC Tournament.
This time, the Violets made the list for their 1-0 victory over the Bears. The home victory put NYU in first place at 3-0 in the University Athletic Association (UAA) standings and was the team's season-high sixth-straight win overall.
The contest was scoreless until
Sergio Monton (Madrid, Spain/Fundacion Fomento) tickled the twines soon after the halftime break. The NYU defense muscled up and allowed only two shots on goal in the game, both of which
Luca Mancuso (Miami, FL/Montverde Academy) turned aside.
