Men’s and Women’s Swimming & Diving Win NYU Fall Invitational

In their first official home appearances of the 2019-20 season (the women did host an exhibition two weeks earlier), the New York University men's and women's swimming & diving teams posted victories at the NYU Fall Invitational on November 8-9 at the Palladium Athletic Facility Natatorium.

That double-feat ranks #32 on NYU's Top-50 Varsity Sports Highlight List of the 2019-20 season.

The Violets faced NCAA Division I opponent Princeton University, as well as local rivals Stevens Institute of Technology and Drew University.

The men's team finished with 474 points, a significant advantage over second-place Princeton (264). The women totaled slightly less than the men (462.5 points), but had a wider margin over runner-up Princeton (217).

Both the NYU men's and women's swimmers captured 11 events.

Carmen White (Lake Bluff, IL/Lake Forest) secured two diving victories for the women, while Cole Vertin (San Jose, CA/St. Francis) produced one win for the men.
