Annie Barrett Named WBCA Assistant Coach of the Year

Fifth Year Coach Earns National Recognition

New York University women's basketball's Assistant Coach Annie Barrett has been named the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Division III Assistant Coach of the Year. 

Barrett, now in her fifth season coaching with the Violets, helped lead the team to a fifth consecutive University Athletic Association (UAA) Championship and a thrid straight NCAA Final Four appearance. 

NYU finished the regular season with an undefeated 25-0 record, and in doing so, eclipsed the DIII record for most consecutive wins. 

The Violets boasted both the UAA Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year in Caroline Peper and Brooke Batchelor, respectively. 

A former player for the program, Barrett also currently hold's the team's all-time record for assists with 435.
