NYU's Top-50 Highlights Continue

#45 - Men’s Tennis wins on Senior Day/Season Finale

Coming in at #45 on the Top-50 list of New York University varsity sports highlights of the 2019-20 season is the men's tennis team's come-from-behind victory over Southern Virginia University in what turned out to be the final match of the abbreviated spring campaign.

Trailing 4-2, the Violets ripped off three straight singles wins to capture the match, punctuated by a straight-sets victory by Joshua Piatos (Irvine, CA/University) at #6.

It was NYU's only dual-meet win of the season, as the remainder of the schedule was wiped out due to the emergence of the coronavirus epidemic.

Making the victory even more significant was the fact that the March 7 contest was held on the team's annual Senior/Alumni/Family Day.

You can read details of the entire match here.
