Varsity Sports Highlight Countdown Continues

Men’s Cross Country Victory at Ron Stonitsch Invite is #31

The New York University men's cross country team makes its debut on the Top-50 Varsity Sports Highlight List of 2019-20. The squad's victory at the Ron Stonitsch Invitational on September 7 comes in at #31.

Hosted by Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, NY, the Violets posted four top-10 individual finishes and accumulated 39 team points, easily out-distancing the second-place host Brewers (60 points). 

Four NYU runners finished among the top nine in the race, led by Jack Lillian's (Warwick, NY/Warwick Valley) fourth-place effort. Not far behind were Jonathan Sussman (Ellicott City, MD/Wilde Lake) (6th place), Liam de Beaufort (Washington, D.C./St. John's) (8th place) and Josh Holtzman (Glen Allen, VA/Glen Allen) (9th place).

Overall, six teams and 90 runners competed.
