The New York University women's golf team opened 2026-27 play at the St. Lawrence University Invitational on Saturday, September 5. The Violets are competing at the Oliver D. Appleton Golf Course in Canton, NY.

NYU sits in first place out of eight teams after the opening round with a score of 289 (+1). NYU's B team is second with a 297 (+9).

Elisa Xue led the Violets with a three-under-par 69, placing first in the individual standings after day one. Jiayi Fu and Naomi Tan each carded a 73 (+1) and are tied for fourth.

Sonia Hao and Inha Jun both posted 74's (+2) and are tied for seventh.

For NYU's B team, Jiarui Li and Millie Wang each shot 70's (-2) and are tied for second. Kexin Guan carded a 75 (+3), tied for ninth, while Kelly Jing and Yu Young Chung each posted 82's (+10), tied for 19th.

Overall, 40 golfers are competing.

The Violets will return to action on Sunday, September 6, for the final round. Play is scheduled to begin at 8:00 a.m. at the Oliver D. Appleton Golf Course.
