The New York University women's golf team dominated at the St. Lawrence Invitational, taking both first and second place in the team standings and the top seven spots individually with freshman Elisa Xue capturing the individual title. 

The two-round tournament was held on Saturday and Sunday, September 5-6, at the Oliver D. Appleton Golf Course in Canton, NY,

NYU topped the eight-team field with a two-round score of 574 (-2) after carding a three-under-par 285 in Sunday's final round. The Violets opened the tournament with a 289 (+1) on Saturday.

NYU's B team finished second at 588 (+12) after posting a 291 (+3) on Sunday, giving the Violets the top two team spots.

Xue won the 40-player field with a two-round score of 139 (-5) after carding a two-under-par 70 in Sunday's final round. Jiarui Li, competing for NYU's B team, finished second at 141 (-3) after a one-under-par 71 on Sunday.

"I'm very proud of this team's effort and their dedication to the NYU golf program," said Head Coach Brad Johnson. "We're building something special and working toward a great year filled with growth, success, and big accomplishments. I'm excited for what's ahead!"

Inha Jun tied for third at 143 (-1) after shooting a three-under-par 69 in the second round. Millie Wang, also competing for NYU's B team, also tied for third after a 73 (+1).

Jiayi Fu and Naomi Tan tied for fifth at 146 (+2) after each shooting 73s (+1) on Sunday.

Sonia Hao finished seventh at 150 (+6) after a 76 (+4).

For NYU's B team, Kexin Guan finished 10th at 154 (+10), Yu Young Chung tied for 11th at 155 (+11), and Kelly Jing tied for 13th at 156 (+12).

The Violets return to action at the University Athletic Association (UAA) Championship on Monday-Tuesday, September 14-15, at Elks Run Golf Course in Batavia, OH. NYU is serving as host.
