The New York University women's golf team won the Jack Leaman Invitational, which was hosted by Amherst College on Sunday, April 13, in Amherst, MA.
After some nasty weather canceled round one on Saturday, it did not stop the Violets from winning the whole thing on Sunday. All five players finished in the top 15 places, including the number one and two finishers.
Nalinda Wanikpun was the winner, shooting a -2 on the day. She shot five birdies on the day.
Tiya Chowdary finished one spot behind in second place, carding an even par for the round. She finished with four birdies.
Naomi Tan and
Kelly Jing both added a +5 to the overall score. The two finished tied for 14th, and added a combined five birdies.
The Violets will next hit the links at the Liberty League Championship in Guilderland, NY, on Saturday-Sunday, April 26-27.
