OUR MISSION: The primary goal of the NYU strength and conditioning department is to maximize athletic potential while minimizing the risk of injury. This is done through creating year round training programs using scientifically based methods which will keep our athletes progressing through their years in the program. We are dedicated to providing each student-athlete with every resource possible to help them reach individual and team success. This includes a demanding yet positive atmosphere at all times.

GOALS:
  • To prevent common injuries associated with sports participation
  • To implement science-based, evidence driven, year-round sports specific training programs for all varsity student-athletes
  • To maximize athletic potential for each individual performer (increase mobility, increase flexibility and tissue elasticity, increase maximal strength and power, increase speed/and agility, and INCREASE ATHLETIC PERFORMANCE!)
