New York University's men's and women's golf teams concluded play at the University Athletic Association (UAA) Championship at the Hammock Beach Resort on the Conservatory Course in Palm Coast, FL on Sunday afternoon.
The
20th-ranked Violet men finished as runners-up in the tournament, falling to No. 1 Emory University, 3-2, in a head-to-head competition to determine the Association champion.
Joseph Burlison and
Robbie Keyes were victorious for NYU, as Burlison defeated Davis Hingtgen while Keyes bested Max Schwartz. The Eagles claimed their fifth straight UAA title.
On the women's side, the
13th-ranked Violets dropped their third-place matchup with No. 12 Washington University in St. Louis, 3-2.
Mimi Chen took down Caraline Oakley while
Aliea Clark won against Annie Mascot for NYU's two victories on the day. No. 2 Emory won its first-ever UAA Women's Golf Championship.
Burlison and Keyes were named to the men's All-Tournament Team while Clark received the same honor for the women.
Both teams return to the course at the Jekyll Island Invitational, beginning on Friday, March 18, in Jekyll Island, GA.
