The New York University men's golf team began play at the Skidmore Invitational, which is being held Saturday and Sunday, October 11-12, at the Saratoga Spa State Park GC in Saratoga Springs, NY.
The teams played two rounds on Saturday and are scheduled for one more on Sunday.
The Violets are tied for fourth place after Saturday's 36 holes, with an overall +12. NYU shot +4 over the first round and +8 over the second.
Amherst College leads the 17-team invitational at +2.
Qi Liu is NYU's low scorer after the two rounds. He shot even par over the first 18 holes and -2 over the final 18. His first round featured six birdies, while his second contained five.
NYU's second low scorer is
Jomyuth Luangtana-anan. He is tied for 24th place at +4, having shot -1 over a first round which included five birdies.
The Violets' other scorers are
Shray Patel (T33rd, +6) and
Bryan Zhao (T38th, +7).
Overall, 99 golfers are competing.
Sunday's third round is set to begin at 8:00am
