The New York University men's tennis team defeated Manhattanville College 9-0 at home on Wednesday, April 18.
 
It was the Violets' seventh victory of the season (7-5).
 
NYU took a 3-0 lead by sweeping the doubles slate against Manhattanville. Ting Yee Lai and William Smithline prevailed 9-7 at #1, Steven Wu and Daniel Kil won 8-1 at #2, and Bowen Xu and CJ Leong cruised 8-2 in the third slot.
 
In singles action, Steven Wu won 6-0, 6-1 at #1, while Leong posted a 6-1, 6-0 victory at second singles. At #3, Tim Wu notched a 6-2, 6-0 win, while Smithline scored a 6-2, 6-0 victory at #4. Xu dominated for a 6-0, 6-0 victory at #5, and Karamveer Dhillon took his #6 singles match 6-0, 6-0.
 
The Violets are back in action on Saturday, April 21, when they play at Ithaca College.
