The New York University men's tennis team wrapped up its run at the University Athletic Association (UAA) Championships\ with a 4–0 loss to No. 5-ranked Emory University on Sunday, April 27, morning at Sanlando Park in Altamonte Springs, FL.
With the defeat, the Violets finished fourth overall in the conference tournament.
Emory claimed the doubles point by winning two of the three matches. NYU's top pair of Boren Zheng and Philip Martin narrowly fell 7–6 at No. 1 doubles, while Alex Lee and Bryan Hui lost 7–5 at No. 3. Jingyuan Chen and Louis Frowein earned a 6–2 win at No. 2, but it wasn't enough to swing the point.
In singles, Emory quickly secured the match by winning on courts 4, 5, and 6. Hui dropped a 6–3, 6–0 result at No. 4, Frowein fell 6–1, 6–2 at No. 5, and Cooper Kline was defeated 6–2, 6–1 at No. 6.
Matches at No. 1, No. 2, and No. 3 singles went unfinished.
NYU concludes the 2024-25 season with an 11-4 dual-match record.
