Women Finish Top-10, Men Top-20

New York University's men's and women's golf teams have finished play at the Jekyll Island Invitational, which was held at the Jekyll Island Golf Club on the Georgia coast Friday-Sunday, March 18-20.

NYU's 13th-ranked women finished the three-round tournament in ninth place of 24 teams. The Violets shot 309 on Sunday for a three-day total of 910.  They finished only one stroke behind eighth-place Washington & Lee University.

University Athletic Association (UAA) foe Emory University (866) won the invitational.

Nalinda Wanikpun was NYU's top finisher, tying for 26th place with a three-day total of 226. Right behind her was Madison Phung, who shot a team-low 74 on Sunday and tied for 28th place (227).

Rounding out the NYU scorers were Mimi Chen (T-32nd, 228), Aliea Clark (T-37th, 230) and Camilla Chung (T-87th, 249).

Overall, 120 golfers competed.
