The New York University men's golf team continued its spring season at the Farmingdale State College Spring Invitational (FSC Invitational), hosted by Farmingdale State College on Saturday, April 19, in Bethpage, NY.
The men had a strong start to the two-day invitational, shooting a +8. They are currently in fifth place out of 16 teams.
The Violets placed three players among the top 15 for the round.
Kevin Kim had the best round on the team, carding an even par. He recorded five birdies over the course of the round, and ended the day in seventh place overall.
Oscar Uribe and
Ryan Leung were right behind him, with both athletes shooting +2. Kim, Uribe and Leung all birdied the longest hole on the course, #5.
Ajeet Bagga helped contribute to the team score, shooting a +4. He finished the front nine with a flourish, birdying holes eight and nine.
The Violets will next hit the links tomorrow for the second round of the FSC Spring Invitational, with the the first tee time for NYU slated to start at 10:30am.
