The New York University men's golf team began play at the Dr. Tim Brown Invitational on Saturday, April 12. The two-day tournament is hosted by Skidmore College at Ballston Spa Country Club in Ballston Spa, NY.
With 18 holes completed, the Violets sit in third place overall with a cumulative +6 score. NYU's
Kevin Kim and
Jomyuth Luangtana-anan are among those in a three-way tie for sixth place on the individual leaderboard, each recording a -2 round.
Luangtana-anan made the turn at -1 with a pair of birdies in the front nine and turned in a bogey-free back nine. He capped the round with a birdie on the par four 18th hole for a two-under 69 in his Saturday round.
After turning in an even-par front nine, Kim recorded three birdies on the back nine. He signed a two-under 69 round after scoring a bogey on the 17th hole.
Oscar Uribe (+5) and
Ryan Leung (+5) each contributed to the final Saturday scoreline.
The Violets will finish the Dr. Brown Invitational on Sunday, April 13 with 18 holes to decide the tournament.
