Ten members of the New York University men's and women's fencing teams have been named Northeast All-Region by the United States Fencing Coach's Association (USFCA).
These awards are determined based on result and field size at each of the NCAA Regional competitions.
For the Violets, three men and seven women were selected for the award.
Anup Banerjee,
Adam Wong, and
Faaris Hussain were the recipients for the men's team. Banerjee was named All-Northeast Second Team, and both he and Wong were awarded All-Northeast Division III Team honors for men's foil. Hussain was named All Northeast Division III for men's saber.
The women's team had fencers awarded across all three weapons. For women's epee,
Katherine Chen,
Azniv Basralian,
Karina Dyner, and
Lily Papadakis were all named All-Northeast Division III. Papadakis also received All-Northeast Honorable Mention. In foil,
Maria Stamos and
Renee Wu were both named All-Northeast Division III, while Stamos also earned All-Northeast Honorable Mention.
Greta Yuan earned All-Northeast Division III in saber.
Two of the honorees, Banerjee and Stamos, qualified for the upcoming NCAA National Championships following their performances at the NCAA Regional Championships on March 9. Banerjee qualified after an eighth-place finish in men's foil, and Stamos secured a spot with a 13th-place finish in women's foil.

The National Championships will be taking place Thursday-Sunday March 20-23, 2025, with Banerjee beginning competition today and Stamos getting started on Saturday.
