Emmanuel Brito of the New York University men's track & field team competed in the 100-meter dash at the Tom Farrell Classic hosted by St. John's University in Queens, NY, on Saturday, May 4.

In the preliminary section of the event, Brito placed eighth to advance to the final section with his time of 11.11.

Brito clocked 11.06 in the finals to notch a new personal best and place seventh overall in the original field of 23 competitors.

Members of the team will return to action next Thursday, May 9, when they travel to West Point, NY, to compete in the West Point Twilight Invitational.
