Men's Golf Moves up to Fourth Place at Liberty League Champs

Violets Shoot 295 on Saturday

The New York University men's golf team moved up to fourth place after the second round of the Liberty League Championship, held Friday through Sunday, April 26-28, at the Shenendoah Golf Club at Turning Stone in Verona, NY.
 
The Violets, who were in fifth place after Friday's first round, shot 295 on Saturday to total 599 strokes over the two rounds. They are six ahead of RPI in fifth and 16 behind third-place University of Rochester.
 
Skidmore College and St. Lawrence University are tied for first in the seven-team competition with 580 over two days.

The winning team earns an automatic bid to next month's NCAA Division III Championship.
 
NYU's Jomyuth Luangtana-anan shot an even-par 72 on Saturday, including carding an eagle and a birdie over the last three holes. He improved to 13th place after entering the round in 26th.
 
Drew Clark and Ryan Leung are also tied for 13th, totaling 150 strokes thus far. Clark shot one-over par to rise from 20th place, while Leung recorded a three-over 75.
 
Kevin Kim also shot 75 and is tied for 18th place.
 
Ishaan Shroff birdied two of the last three holes to finish at 79, tied for 26th place with 155 strokes.
 
The final round tees off at 11:00am on Sunday.
