New York University's men's golf team completed the third and final round of the Jekyll Island Invitational on Sunday, March 24, at the par-71, 6,515-yard King and Prince Golf Course in St. Simon's Island, GA.
Kevin Kim led the Violets as he finished among the top 50 individuals. He shot a 76 today which brought his three-day total to 224 strokes which was tied for 44th.
Ryan Leung tied for 68th, carding a team-best 75 in the third round as he finished with 227 total strokes.
Ethan Yang was just one stroke behind Leung, finishing with 228 total strokes, which tied him for 74th individually.
Jomyuth Luangtana-anan and
Mark Zhang both finished with 236 strokes across the three rounds and tied for 117th.
NYU placed 21st out of 30 teams, as its 912 strokes were one behind 20th-placed Amherst and one ahead of 22nd-placed Berry. There were 150 golfers in action at the Invitational.
Next up for the Violets is the first round of the Hershey Cup on Sunday, April 7, in Hershey, PA.
