Ryan Tobin and
Julian Aske of the New York University men's track & field team traveled to Boston, MA, to compete in the David Hemery Valentine Invitational at the Boston University Track & Tennis Center on Saturday, February 10.
In the 3,000-meter run, Tobin crossed the line in 8:17.94 to take seventh in the 82-competitor field made up of many Division I athletes. His time today surpassed his previous personal best by eight seconds and put him within one second of the program record of 8:17.19 set by Neil Saddler in 2018.
Aske competed in the 800-meter run, finishing in 1:58.13 to take 226th place in the 265-competitor event.
The men's team is back in action on Saturday, February 24, when they host day one of the UAA Championships at the Armory in Manhattan.
