After recently completing its second straight appearance in the NCAA Division III Sweet Sixteen, several members of the New York University women's soccer team received postseason honors from the United Soccer Coaches (USC).
Headlining the list of honorees is graduate student forward
Kelli Keady, who was named USC Third Team All-American.
Keady, along with teammates
Riley Felsher,
Rachel Kim,
Bryce Chan, and
Eileen Xu were all selected USC First Team All-Region IV.
The Violets finished the campaign with a 12-3-6 record after winning two matches in the NCAA Tournament before falling to Johns Hopkins University 2-1.
In her final season at NYU, Keady led the squad with 10 goals, 10 assists and 30 points. Her 32 career goals are tied for the most in program history and her 0.46 goals per game are also tied for the top spot.
"I'm super proud of Kelli. She is such a special player, but even a more special person," said Head Coach
Scott Waddell. "A great presence and a great leader."
Felsher started 21 games in net for the Violets in 2024, registering a 0.77 goals against percentage while compiling 53 saves and 10 shutouts. The graduate student's 35 career wins is second all-time in program history.
Xu (junior defender), Chan (senior midfielder) and Kim (senior defender) helped bolster a defense that only allowed 16 goals. Kim also contributed a pair of goals, Chan had one and Xu added a pair of assists.
"This is so impressive and I'm so appreciative of the other coaches who thought so highly of our players," Waddell added. "It was a very pleasant surprise and this is testament to all the hard work they put in."
