The New York University men's golf team is tied for sixth place after the first round of the Dr. Tim Brown Invitational, which is being hosted by Skidmore College at the Balston Spa Country Club in Balston Spa, NY, on Saturday and Sunday, April 8-9.
The Violets shot 293 (+9) over the par-71, 6,310-yard course and is tied with Tufts University in the 19-team field after Saturday's first round.
Husson University shot two-under par 282 and is at the top of the leader board.
Rohan Aerrabolu shot even par for NYU and is tied for 13th place. His round included two birdies.
Ryan Leung is also among the top-20 after round one, carding a two-over 73 and tying for 20th place.
Also scoring for the Violets are
Charles Hsieh (74, t28th) and
Kevin Kim (75, t-39th).
Ishaan Shroff (77, t-65th) is also competing for NYU in the 138-person field.
The second and final round tees off at 8:00am on Sunday.
