Charles Hsieh tied for third individually to highlight New York University's men's golf team's showing at the 2023 Liberty League Championship, which concluded after Sunday's third and final round at the par-72, 6,763-yard Shenendoah Golf Club at Turning Stone in Verona, NY.
Hsieh shot an even-par 72 on Sunday for a three-day total of 218 to climb three spots and tie for third with two others.
Kevin Kim was also on par today, carding a 72 which gave him a total score of 222 and a spot in the top 10 (tied for ninth).
Rohan Aerrabolu shot 78 on the day, bringing his score to 231 as he finished 18th.
Ishaan Shroff's 81 today kept him in the top 25 as he placed 25th with a three-round total of 238 to round out NYU's scorers.
The Violets ended with a team score of 903, eight strokes behind fourth-place University of Rochester. RPI won the seven-team competition by 11 strokes (882). There were 35 golfers in action at the Championship.
NYU had won three of the last four Liberty League titles, including last year's, and this breaks the Violets' streak of winning the last three Championships they participated in (the team did not compete in 2020-21).
