Men's Golf Finishes Second at Farmingdale

Violets Shoot 293 on Saturday; Sunday Washed Out

The New York University men's golf team finished in second place at the Farmingdale State College Spring Invitational.

The competition had been scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, April 22-23. at the par-70, 7092-yard Bethpage State Park Red Course in Farmingdale, NY.

The Violets shot a combined 13-over-par 293 on Saturday, but Sunday's second round was canceled due to rain.

NYU finished behind Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) by three strokes in the nine-team competition. 

Leading the way for NYU was Charles Hsieh, who shot par-70 and tied for second place.

The Violets' Ryan Leung and Kevin Kim each tied for 14th place after shooting 74.

Rohan Aerrabolu shot 75 and tied for 19th place in the 51-person field.

The Violets return to action Friday-Sunday, April 28-30, at the Liberty League Championship in Verona, NY.
