The New York University men's golf team is in eighth place after the first round of the Hershey Cup, which is being held at the Hershey Country Club East Course in Hershey, PA, on Sunday and Monday, April 2-3.
NYU shot 323 over the par-71, 6,526-yard course, and is three strokes behind seventh-place Gettysburg College in the 15-team competition.
Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) leads the field after shooting 307.
The Violets top performer thus far is
Charles Hsieh, who shot 78 and is tied for 18th place.
Kevin Kim carded an 80 and is tied for 29th place.
Also scoring for the Violets are
Ryan Leung (82, T46) and
Rohan Aerrabolu (63, T48).
Monday's final round is set to begin at 8:30am.
