The New York University men's golf team finished in a tie for seventh place at the rain-shortened Skidmore Fall Invitational, which was held at the Saratoga Spa State Park Golf Course in Saratoga Springs, NY.
Saturday's opening round was canceled due to heavy rain, so the invitational was limited to one 18-hole round on Sunday.
The Violets totaled 293 strokes, just behind Amherst College (292) and just ahead of Williams College (294).
Laval University won the 21-team invitational after shooting 288.
NYU's low scorer was
Ethan Yang, who shot 72 and finished tied for 15th place.
Next up were
Jomyuth Luangtana-anan and
Jorge Montero, who tied for 23rd after shooting 73.
Also competing for the Violets was
Kevin Kim (T-42, 75),
Mark Zhang (T-77, 78), and
Ishaan Shroff (T-87, 79).
NYU is back in action for the Golfweek Invitational, which is being held at the Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort in Miramar Beach, FL, Sunday-Tuesday, October 15-17.
