New York University's men's golf team finished seventh out of 14 teams at the Skidmore College Fall Invitational, played at the Saratoga Spa State Park Golf Course in Saratoga Springs, NY, on Saturday and Sunday, October 8 and 9.
The
17th-ranked Violets carded a two-day total of 617, seven strokes behind sixth-place Endicott College and five strokes ahead of two teams tied for eighth (RPI and Williams).
It was the final tournament of the fall season for NYU, next competing in March 2023.
Ethan Yang led the way for the Violets, shooting a three-over-par 75 on Sunday for a total score of 148 that placed him in a tie for fourth individually.
Ryan Leung was NYU's other top-20 finisher, tying for 15th with a two-round total of 151 after posting a 75 today.
Charles Hsieh (t-38th, 157),
Daniel Fuller (t-48th, 162) and
Arjun Malik (t-64th, 165) also competed for NYU.
There were 80 golfers competing in the tournament. A different grouping from 24th-ranked RPI won the event, finishing with a team score of 592 which was five strokes better than second-place Hamilton College.
NYU next takes the course on March 11 and 12 of next year at the University Athletic Association (UAA) Championship in Florida.
