Williams College Fall Invitational Player Leaderboard (PDF)
The New York University men's golf team finished in fourth place out of 25 teams in the Williams College Fall Invitational at the par-71 Taconic Golf Course in Williamstown, MA. The two-day tournament took place over Saturday and Sunday, September 21-22.
After scoring 291 in round one, the Violets shot 301 on Sunday for a two-day total of 592. Babson College finished in first at 588, host Williams placed second with 589 and University of Rochester finished in third with 591.
Joseph Burlison (Salinas, CA/Palma) finished tied for third out of 129 golfers after shooting one-over-par 72 on Sunday and 142 overall.
"Joey had a really good tournament," said Head Coach
Brad Johnson. "Just another incredible round from him today."
Also competing for the Violets was
Robbie Keyes (Louisville, KY/duPont Manual), who shot three-over-par 74 on both days and finished tied for 12th with 148.
Alan Chen (Freemont, CA/Mission San Jose) tied for 17th after shooting 149 over both rounds.
Chris Lee (Palisades Park, NJ/Bergen Catholic) finished tied for 35th with a two-day total of 153.
"While we didn't replicate our performance from Saturday, we learned a lot from this tournament and will be ready next time," concluded Johnson.
The Violets return to action on Saturday, October 5, for day one of the Liberty League Fall Preview at the Turning Stone Resort in Verona, NY.
