The Violets and Case Western were tied at four coming into to the #5 singles match, which pitted Tiffany Thong of NYU against Cheyenne Chambers. The match went three sets with Thong winning 2-6, 6-4, 6-2, to give NYU the victory.
"I was very happy with the girls tonight," said NYU head coach Horace Choy. "We were in a few tight matches. Tiffany had the most decisive of those and was able to get the victory.
