Seniors Sam Roukas and Jared Hammond have been named University Athletic Association (UAA) Co-Athletes of the Week in men's fencing for their contribution to NYU's performance in a quad-meet at Columbia University on Wednesday, Feb. 3.

Both Roukas and Hammond recorded 8-1 records in sabre at the competition.

Roukas went 3-0 vs. both Vassar College and Columbia University (both NYU victories) and finished 2-1 against Sacred Heart University (a 14-13 NYU loss). Roukas' outing improved his season record to 39-14 overall.

Hammond had perfect 3-0 performances against Sacred Heart and Columbia, while putting up a 2-1 mark against Vassar. Hammond improved his season record to 27-13.

The UAA Athlete of the Week honor is the 11th of Roukas' career and the seventh for Hammond.
