New York University's fencers wrapped up competition at the 2026 NCAA Fencing Championships on Sunday, March 22, hosted by the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, IN.
The men's team representatives, freshman Szymon Wojciechowski and senior Jerry Pan, finished their second day of competition on Sunday, marking the end of the NYU fencing season.
On Sunday, Wojciechowski finished with a 2–6 record and placed 13th in his weapon. He finished the tournament with an 11–12 overall record.
"It was a tough day for us," said Head Coach Ben Bratton. "Szymon came up just short of All-American honors after a number of really close matches, but I'm proud of the way he competed. There are some important lessons we'll take from this and carry into next season."
On Sunday, Pan finished with a 3–5 saber record, bringing his two-day total to 5–18 and placed 23rd out of 24 fencers in his weapon.
"Jerry gave us everything he had this weekend," Bratton added. "I know he was hoping for more, but I'm incredibly grateful for everything he's given to this program during his time here as a Violet."
The Violet duo accumulated 16 points to lead NYU to 19th of 26 teams.
On the women's side, Katherine Chen accumulated 11 points to place 18th out of 26 teams.
