Kosta Mocklis of the New York University baseball team has been named the University Athletic Association (UAA) Baseball Hitter of the Week following his outstanding performance this past weekend.

In the Violets' four-game series against UAA-foe Case Western Reserve University, Mocklis batted 8-for-14 with nine RBI, seven runs scored, four walks, and two stolen bases. Three of his eight base hits went for extra bases, including a home run in Friday's game.

The graduate outfielder batted a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and four runs scored in the series-opening 12-10 win. In Saturday's doubleheader, he collected four more hits and seven total RBI.

Mocklis's efforts helped NYU split its series against the Spartans.
