Judges Score Late to Take Game Four

New York University's baseball team (9-14, 3-9) finished its four-game series against Brandeis University's (15-11, 7-5) in Waltham, MA, on Sunday, April 12.

In a thrilling game, the Judges won game four 10-9 to take a 3-1 series win.

Brandeis led early, scoring two runs in the first inning. But, NYU's four runs in the top of the second gave them a 4-2 advantage. Kosta Mocklis's two-RBI triple in the frame gave the Violets their first lead of the game.

Leading 4-3 in the fifth, Harrison Blueweiss recorded an RBI to extend NYU's lead back to two runs. In the bottom half of the frame the Judges scored three runs to regain the lead.

Mocklis returned to the plate in the sixth and hit a shot over the left center field fence for his second home run of the series. Later in the inning, Mason Clark brought two Violets in to give NYU an 8-6 advantage.

Brandeis once again fought back to take the lead, this time scoring three runs in the bottom of the eighth.
