The New York University men's golf team opened play at the Dr. Tim Brown Invitational, hosted by Skidmore College, on Saturday, April 11. The Violets are competing at Ballston Spa Country Club in Ballston Spa, NY.
NYU sits in second place out of 17 teams after the opening round with a score of +11.
Qi (Steven) Liu led NYU with a round of 72 (E), placing him 4th in the individual standings after day one. Oscar Uribe followed with a 73 (+1).
Tanmay Chandra carded a 74 (+2), and George Zhou rounded out the scoring with a 76 (+4).
Jomyuth Luangtana-anan also competed and carded a 77 (+5).
Kai Nam Ryan Leung competed in the individual tournament and posted an 82 (+10).
The Violets will return to action on Sunday, April 12, for the final round.
