The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) has named the New York University men's basketball team as one of the winners of the NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards. The team had 11 student-athletes also make the NABC Honors Court.
The United States Fencing Coaches Association (USFCA) has named both the NYU men's and women's fencing teams to the Collegiate All-Academic Teams.
The NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards recognize programs that completed the 2024-25 academic year with a team GPA of 3.0 or higher. The NABC Honors Court, meanwhile, includes junior, senior and graduate student men's basketball players who finished the 2024-25 year with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher.
The USFCA recognized twenty women's teams and twelve men's teams received All-Academic recognition for their combined in-season team GPA. The NYU men's fencing team finished with an average GPA of 3.42, while the women's fencing team finished with a 3.58 team GPA.
