The New York University women's golf team finished its spring season at the Liberty League Championship on Sunday, April 27, hosted by Pinehaven Country Club in Guilderland, NY.
After being tied for first after round one, the Violets finished in second place with a cumulative score of +42.
The tournament was won by the Wellesley College with a score of +36.
NYU finished with two athletes tied for fourth, one finishing sixth, and two tied for seventh.
The best round of the day went to
Nalinda Wanikpun, who carded a +6 on the way to a +10 cumulative score. She ended the tournament tied for fourth place and led the tournament in par holes with 23.
Srishti Dhurandhar continued her strong weekend, also finishing tied for fourth after carding a +7 in round two. She was top five in scores on par-five's with a -1 on those holes.
Tiya Chowdary finished in sixth overall for the Violets after shooting +11 over the two-day tournament. She shot +2 in the opening round.
Kelly Jing and
Naomi Tan tied for seventh place with scores of +13. Jing shot a +7 and Tan went +8 in round two.
