To be the best, you have to beat the best. And, that's just what the New York University women's golf team did in its first matches of the 2025-26 season.
Competing at the University Athletic Association (UAA) Championship in Batavia, OH, on Monday, September 8,
the #10-ranked Violets dominated the nation's
top-ranked team, Emory University, by a score of 5.5-0.5 in match play and then went on to double-up
#-3 ranked Washington University in St. Louis.
The Violets won five of the six matches contested vs. Emory at the Elks Run Golf Course, with the sixth ending in a tie.
The biggest victory of the round was produced by senior

Fellow senior
Tiya Chowdary and freshman
Inha Jun, each needed just 15 holes (4&3) to secure victories.
A pair of sophomores won closer matches, with
