The New York University men and women's golf teams continued their spring seasons at the Jekyll Island Invitational round two, hosted by Ogelthrope University on Friday, March 21. 

The men had struggled today, shooting a +12, moving into a tie for 12th place. After two rounds, NYU has carded a +15. NYU had two players in the top 50 after two rounds.

Oscar Uribe had a fantastic round, shooting a -2. He finished his day with four birdies in the back nine, bringing his total to seven for the weekend. After two rounds, he has hit -2, placing tied for fifth. 

Kevin Kim and Ryan Leung both contributed, shooting a +4 and a +5. Kim added three birdies, while Leung had two on the day. 

The women improved on their first round, carding a +25 on the day. That is a +9 stroke improvement on the day before. The Violets jumped one spot into seventh place. NYU has two players in the top 30 after two rounds. 

The stars were Naomi Tan and Kelly Jing. Tan hit +2 on the day, a five shot increase on her previous round. Jing shot +1, a nine shot improvement on her round from the day prior. Overall, the two combined for five birdies.

The Violets will next hit the links tomorrow for the final round of the Jekyll Invitational, with tee times yet to be determined.
