The New York University men's and women's golf teams completed play at their respective University Athletic Association (UAA) Championships, on Tuesday, September 10, at the Elks Run Golf Course in Batavia, OH.
Both teams finished the competition in fourth place, as the men dropped a 4.5-0 decision to Carnegie Mellon University on Tuesday, while the women were edged by WashU 3-2.
For the men, Oscar Uribe was tied heading into the final hole of his match, but wound up losing by one stroke. Shray Patel was defeated by three strokes with two holes left to go, while Ryan Leung fell by four strokes with three holes remaining.

In another battle until the 18th hole, Ethan Yang recorded a draw in his match, while Jomyuth Luangtana-anan ended the tournament with a three-stroke loss with one hole remaining.
Through the first two matches of the women's contest, the Violets and Bears each took one. Naomi Tan claimed a win for the Violets and was selected to the All-Tournament Team.
However, Madison Phung and Tiya Chowdary lost their respective pairings, allowing WashU to clinch with three wins. Srishti Dhuranddhar registered a victory in the final pairing with a five-stroke advantage and three holes remaining.
Moving forward, the men's team will be competing at the Duke Nelson Invitational, hosted by Middlebury College in Middlebury, VT, on Saturday and Sunday, September 14-15, while the women also travel to Middlebury for the George Phinney Classic on Saturday and Sunday, September 21-22.
