Men's & Women's Golf Earn Conference Postseason Recognition

The New York University men's and women's golf teams placed nine total golfers on the end-of-year teams for the Liberty League and the University Athletic Assocation (UAA). 

Kevin KimJomyuth Luangtana-anan, Srishti Dhurandhar and Nalinda Wanikpun were all named to the All-Liberty League First Team. Oscar Uribe, Tiya Chowdary, Kelly Jing and Naomi Tan all received Second Team Honors. 

Kim finished the season as the fourth-ranked player in Region II, capping off the year with a second-place finish at the Liberty League Championship. His -3 final score matched his best finish, also recorded at the Dr. Tim Brown Invitational. 

Luangtana-anan placed 19th at the championship with a score of +9. His season was highlighted by a first-place finish at the Dr. Brown Invitational. The Bangkok, Thailand native averaged a score of 74.3 across 21 rounds.

Dhurandhar placed fourth overall at the Liberty League Championship, with a +10 final score - her highest finish of the season. She was one of five Violets representing NYU at the NCAA Division III National Championship. 

Wanikpun matched her teammate in fourth at the Liberty League Championship. She recorded an individual win at the Jack Leaman Invitational with a -2 score. The junior finished the year ranked fifth overall in Region II. 

Uribe led the Violets at the Liberty League Championship, claiming third place in the individual standings out of 35 participants with a total score of -2. On the year, he shot 21 rounds and averaged a score of 73.9.

Chowdary averaged a 74.5 score over 17 rounds, finishing the season ranked in the top-40 nationally. The sophomore scored her lone individual win of the season at the Max and Susan Stith Invitational. She finished second only to Wanikpun at the Jack Leaman Invitational the next week. Chowdary placed sixth at the Liberty League Championship and represented NYU at the NCAA DIII Championship. 

Jing impressed in her first year as a Violet, placing seventh at the Liberty League Championship and playing in the NCAA Championship. She averaged 75.8 on the year over 17 rounds. 

Fellow rookie Tan produced three top-seven finishes this season, topped out with a third-place result at the Stith Invitational. She matched Jing in seventh place at the Liberty League Championship, before representing NYU at the NCAA Championship. 

Luangtana-anan and Uribe made the All-UAA Second Team on the men's side, while Madison Phung placed second team on the women's side. 

In her 13 rounds, Phung averaged a score of 78.9. Her top finish came at the George Phinney Classic, in which she posted a score of +14, good for 14th place out of 63 golfers.
