The New York University women's tennis team completed play at the College of New Jersey (TCNJ) Invitational on Sunday, September 15, in Ewing, NJ.
A total of 16 Violets competed against host TCNJ and played a total of 15 matches, nine singles and six doubles.
The invitational was a non-team scoring event.
The Violets won four of the six doubles matches and seven of the nine singles tilts.
Jimena Menendez and
Isabella Hartman continued their winning streak from yesterday with a doubles win (7-5).
Siona
Vallabhaneni and
Victoria Wang were dominant, winning their doubles match (6-1) and their singles matches (6-1, 7-5) and (6-0, 6-3), respectively.

Aileen Yu,
Jade Gautier, and
Jimena Menendez. Among the other doubles victors were

Hannah Chang/
Norah Staunton.
"The women had another good day on the court," said Head Coach
Horace Choy. "There are a lot of newcomers and seeing how well they played and competed this weekend ,bodes well for the rest of the fall and spring season. The ITA's next week will be a much stiffer test for those that go, but we have the talent for many of the players and doubles teams to make it deep into the tournament."
The Violets return to the courts on Friday, September 20, for the three-day ITA Regional Championships hosted by Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY.
