Three New York University student-athletes have earned weekly honors from both the University Athletic Association (UAA) and Liberty League.
Tanmay Chandra of men's golf was named a Liberty League Performer of the Week, while
Jiayi Fu was tabbed both a Liberty League Rookie of the Week and UAA Athlete of the Week.
Sonia Hao made the Liberty League Honor Roll.
Chandra was NYU's lowest scorer as the Violets won the Dr. Tim Brown Invitational at the Ballston Spa Country Club in Ballston Spa, NY, over the weekend. He posted a +1 over the two rounds, including a -2 over Sunday's final round and tied for fourth place individually. His performance in the 96-person field helped lead NYU to a first-place finish in the 17-team field.
Fu was NYU's top finisher as the
#2-ranked Violets won the Jack Leaman Invitational over the weekend. She posted a +1 over the two rounds, including a -2 over Saturday's first round. Her runner-up performance in the 66-person field helped lead NYU to a first-place finish in the 12-team field.
Hao was NYU's second-lowest finisher at the Jack Leaman Invitational. She posted a +4 over the two rounds, including an even par over Sunday's final round, good for third place in the individual standings.
