Members of the New York University men's and women's track & field teams traveled to Cortland, NY, to compete in the All-Atlantic Region Track & Field Conference (AARTFC) Outdoor Championships on Wednesday, May 15.
George Brady crossed the line in 14:57.68 to take eighth in the 5,000-meter run.
Emma Grunin notched an 11th-place finish in the javelin throw with a top mark of 30.81m.
In the 100-meter hurdles preliminary section,
Dasha Jackson clocked 16.09 to take 22nd.
Emmanuel Brito finished the 100-meter dash in 11.26.
The women's team was represented by
Beverly Okyere,
Laila Goodman,
Cindy Leonard, and
Areyanna McCarthy in the 4x400-meter relay. The squad finished in 13th place with a time of 4:05.92.
The team is back in action for day two of the championship event tomorrow, Thursday, May 16, with competition set to begin at 12:00 PM in Cortland, NY.
