Four Violets Set Personal Bests at Widener

Jackson Takes Third; Allen, Boyce, Frank & Hussain Notch New PRs

Members of the New York University men's and women's track & field teams traveled to Chester, PA, to compete in the first day of the Paul Donahue Invite hosted by Widener University on Friday, April 19.

In the triple jump, Dasha Jackson and Aryeanna McCarthy finished in third and fourth place, respectively. Jackson marked 11.00m, while McCarthy notched 10.98m.

Drew Boyce recorded a new personal best in the event, with his final mark of 12.58m.

Three Violets set new personal bests in the 5,000-meter run: Jessica Allen (18:18.96), Brandon Meiner (15:14.67) and Sam Frank (15:29.26).

The Violets will be back at the Paul Donahue Invite tomorrow with competition set to begin at 9:00 AM.
