The New York University men's and women's track & field teams concluded competition at the Larry Ellis Invitational hosted by Princeton University on Saturday, April 13.
All three Violets competing in the 1,500-meter run recorded new personal best in the event: Danielle Sekhar notched an 18th-place finish with a time of 4:49.69 while
Olivia Jackson crossed the line in 4:54.23 to take 26th in the women's section.
On the men's side, Alex Hrycyszyn's 23rd-place, 4:05.71 finish earned him a new personal best in the event.
Travis Perry set a new personal best in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.69 and
Seneca Guneratne clocked 12.63 in the women's section to earn 27th-place among the 40 competitors.
Emmanuel Brito competed in both the 200- and 400-meter dash, recording times of 22.53 and 50.25, respectively.
Areyanna McCarthy took 13th in the high jump with her mark of 1.53m.
The Violets will be back in action next Friday, April 19, when they travel to Chester, PA, to compete in the Widener Invitational.
